Planes are cold, so pile on thin layers like an oversized cotton scarf (doubles as a perfect pareo) and a cashmere cardigan. One of the most useful tips I’ve heard was from my GP – use any lightweight piece and wrap over your mouth, especially in a long-haul flight. This prevents your throat from being too affected by the air-conditioning, and reduces the chance of catching a cold even before you arrive at your destination. I also like taking a Vitamin C and calcium tablet for an extra boost in immunity. When it comes to footwear, I always opt for slip-on styles like loafers or ballerinas.
